I was excited to kick off my first month as a Words & Whimsy mod by reading a book that had been on my TBR for far too long – Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan. I received an arc of this in exchange for an honest review, and I’m excited to say I really enjoyed it!
While it’s not a perfect book by any means, it was an enjoyable read and a great new fantasy. However, I do want to point out that there are trigger warnings for this book. If you’re sensitive to anything like that, I highly recommend you look up the trigger warnings before reading.

If you know me at all, you know there are two book series that I’m obsessed with like nothing else: An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir, and Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff.
I love Christina Lauren’s books. My very first book by the duo was Autoboyography, which was an incredible LGBT story about two boys falling in love despite one’s disapproving surroundings. It was the sweetest book, and I highly recommend you give it a read!
