Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff – Book Review

illuminaeIf you know me at all, you know there are two book series that I’m obsessed with like nothing else: An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir, and Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff.

Seriously, I never shut up about them.

I’m a huge sci fi nerd. I love all things involving space – I find it to be the most fascinating subject to read about. It’s my passion.

When I saw one of the criteria for Book Battle this month was to read the last book in a series, I knew it was the perfect time to sit down and reread one of my favorite series of all time.

My Favorite Half-Night Stand by Christina Lauren – Book Review

my favorite half-night standI love Christina Lauren’s books. My very first book by the duo was Autoboyography, which was an incredible LGBT story about two boys falling in love despite one’s disapproving surroundings. It was the sweetest book, and I highly recommend you give it a read!

Spoiler alert, I loved it.

December 2018 TBR

Its December! My favorite month! I love the holiday season, the festive vibe always makes me so happy. And with all the good vibes, I’m hoping for a good reading month! I’m just coming out of a two month reading slump, and hoping to come back strong. This month, I’m participating in Book Battle, the Oh What Fun Readathon, an ARC Readathon, and this is my first month modding for the Words & Whimsy Book Club over on Facebook (speaking of which, you should definitely come join us)!

With so much going on, I’ve got a huge stack of books to read this month. So without further ado, here’s my December TBR!

(Don’t) Call Me Crazy by Kelly Jensen – Book Review

don't call me crazyI was extremely excited to receive this book for review from Algonquin Young Readers. When I first heard about this book, I knew I had to read it. Mental health is such an important topic, especially for young adults, and I knew I had to get my hands on it! Needless to say, I was not disappointed.
